How's it work? Traditional deck reels have been great for rectangular shaped swimming pools, but they just don't meet the needs of the custom pools & freeform pool owners who already split their solar covers (at the advice of pool shops) to make them easy to handle by hand. We have just taken this a step further by attaching a Solar Roller ® CoverStick™ rolling device midway through each half-cover to roll the solar cover right on the water, in seconds, no deck required. Rolls quick and easy the same way every time, never bunching up or winding off the roller which can happen with deck reels.

WARNING! As a safety measure, always roll BOTH sections of the solar blanket to ensure no person or animal can be entrapped by the solar cover.  See this article posted at Aquatec (click here).  However, splitting the solar blanket and placing the tubes across the middle helps to make the solar cover more safe because you cannot be engulfed by the solar blanket since the tubes will prevent that, and splitting the pool cover reduces the area of the cover that could otherwise wrap around you.  In this way we have made solar covers safer.

Once installed the free-floating Solar Roller ® Cover Stick™ actually becomes part of the pool cover and is always ready to roll by quickly popping on the detachable Solar Roller handles. Back walls and limited pool access no longer pose a problem. With this product, all you need is the water, no swimming pool deck required or deck reel (aka. solar reel, pool reel), and there's nothing else like it on the market!
