Installing the Solar Cover
To install a solar blanket, simply layout the rectangular blanket over the entire surface or the pool. Smooth out the blanket to remove all ripples and let it set for a while.
Then pull the cover semi-taught along the entire pool edge so the cover is about 45 degrees off the water to the pool edge. You are now going to cut the cover like a cookie-cutter using the inside of the pool edge as a guide. Next, taking a sharp cutting tool, cut along the pool edge and let the cover fall just up against the inside of the pool, yet trimmed enough so the cover does not lay against the pool edge. The objective is to match the cover to the exact surface dimensions of the water and not drag against the pool edge when rolling the cover.
Be extremely careful and cautious not to cut the liner of the above-ground pools.
WARNING! As a safety measure, always roll BOTH sides of the pool to ensure no person or animal can be entrapped by the pool cover. See this article posted at Aquatec (click here). However, splitting the cover and placing the tubes across the middle helps to make the pool more safe because you cannot be engulfed by the cover since the tubes will prevent that, and splitting the cover reduces the area of the cover that could otherwise wrap around you. In this way we have made the covers safer.

To Cover, Just Pull Open Roll and Slide Back Into Pool
IMPORTANT! When you unroll the cover, have the roll 1/2 in the pool, and pull open the roll along the deck 1/2 open as shown in the photo above. Then slide the roll slowly into the pool slow enough so the cover doesn't fold back on itself (watch how the the gal does in the video below). By gliding and swishing back in forth slowly like in the video, you will improve quickly with a little practice.
